Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern all moving, packing, transportation,
and logistics services provided by Splendid Movers (“the Company”). By
engaging our services, the client (“Customer”) agrees to the following
terms:
1. Booking & Confirmation

1.1 A booking is considered confirmed once the Customer provides all
required details and receives written or verbal confirmation from
Splendid Movers.

1.2 Prices provided in quotations are valid for 14 days unless
stated otherwise.

1.3 The Customer must disclose all relevant information regarding
the items, location accessibility, and special handling
requirements.
2. Payments
-
2.1 A deposit or booking fee may be required before the service
date.

2.2 The remaining balance is payable on or before completion of the
service.

2.3 Payment methods include: Mobile Money (M-Pesa), bank transfer,
or cash.
- 2.4 Delayed payments may attract additional charges.
3. Cancellation & Rescheduling

3.1 Cancellations made 24 hours before moving day attract no charge.

3.2 Cancellations made less than 24 hours before service may attract
a cancellation fee (up to 30%).

3.3 Rescheduling is free if done at least 12 hours before the
service time. Short-notice rescheduling depends on availability.
4. Customer Responsibilities

4.1 The Customer must ensure:
- Accurate description of goods
- Safe and accessible pathways for loading and offloading
- Fragile items are clearly labeled

4.2 The Customer is responsible for securing valuable items such as
cash, jewelry, personal documents, and electronics (unless packing
services were booked).

4.3 Splendid Movers will not be liable for items not disclosed prior
to the move.
5. Company Responsibilities

5.1 Splendid Movers will:
- Provide professional movers and appropriate equipment
- Handle goods with care
- Transport items safely to the agreed destination
- Communicate any delays or changes promptly

5.2 The Company reserves the right to refuse moving items that pose
safety or legal risks.
6. Liability & Insurance

6.1 Splendid Movers exercises the highest standard of care; however,
minor scratches or wear may occur during normal handling.

6.2 The Company is not liable for:
- Loss or damage to items not packed by the Company
- Pre-existing damage

Damage caused by poor quality packing materials provided by the
Customer

Items of extraordinary value (cash, jewelry, sensitive
electronics)

6.3 For high-value or fragile items, the Customer is advised to
request special handling or insurance if available.
7. Delays

7.1 The Company is not responsible for delays caused by traffic,
weather conditions, roadblocks, or Customer delays.
- 7.2 Any additional waiting time may attract extra charges.
8. Inventory & Inspection

8.1 The Customer is encouraged to verify all items before and after
the move.

8.2 Any complaint regarding damage or loss must be reported
immediately upon delivery.
9. Disposal & Extra Services
- 9.1 Disposal of unwanted items is charged separately.

9.2 Additional services such as packing, unpacking, storage, or
furniture assembly attract extra fees.
10. Termination of Service

Splendid Movers reserves the right to cancel or decline a job if:
- The environment is unsafe
- The Customer is uncooperative
- The items include illegal or hazardous materials
11. Privacy & Confidentiality
Splendid Movers respects Customer privacy and will not share personal
or business information with third parties unless required by law.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any
disputes will be resolved through negotiation or appropriate legal
channels.
